Guarana Seed Extract is used for weight loss, to enhance athletic performance, as a stimulant, and to reduce mental and physical fatigue. It is a frequent addition to energy and weight loss products. Guarana assists low blood pressure and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), and to prevent malaria and dysentery. It is also used to enhance sexual desire, to increase urine flow, and as an astringent. Be sure to taken in extra hydration and some fruit with this product as this will improve performance and reduce possible issues such as increases with blood pressure, or drops in blood sugar. Guarana is generally recognized as safe GRS. Those with weak adrenal function are advised to support adrenals with Adrenal DMG when taking Power N Speed. This may take several weeks to build the strength to be prepared for 12 hours of energy. 6
Caffeine Pure form (1,3,7-trimethylxanthine) is found in teas, coffees and herbs to include green tea and guarana seed extract. A number of possible mechanisms have been proposed for the athletic performance-enhancing effects of caffeine.1 Caffeine may increase fat utilization and decrease glycogen utilization. Caffeine can mobilize free fatty acids by increasing circulating epinephrine levels. The increased availability of free fatty acids increases fat oxidation and spares muscle glycogen, enhancing endurance. In the nervous system, caffeine may reduce the perception of effort, making it easier to recruit the muscles for exercise. This product is considered within safe guidelines and passes sports criteria at suggested dosages on the label. Check with your health professional before exceeding 1 or 2 capsules a day. Take one or two days off during the week to not build up a resistance to the benefits. Take early in the day, ideally prior to 11 am, unless you need to stay alert and awake into the evening.2
Green Tea extract- is used as supportfor Crohn’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, diseases of the heart, and blood vessels, diabetes, low blood pressure, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), kidney stones and skin damage. People with cancer use green tea for a source of energy and immune function support. It is used to support issues with inflammation. Stay within the suggested dosages to not aggravate anxiety, emotional issue or diarrhea.
Cordyceps sinensis “winter worm, summer grass”, one of the three royal herbs of China, is a fungus that lives on certain caterpillars in the high mountain regions of the Tibetan highlands. In the United States, Cordyceps can be reproduced in laboratories on such plant substrates as rice. In traditional Chinese medicine Cordyceps is considered a stimulant, tonic, and an “adaptogen,” which is used to increase energy, enhance stamina, and reduce fatigue. 3
Kudzu, also known as Pueraria Flower extract (PFE) was evaluated in a Japanese study of 81 obese adults (divided into 3 groups) over 12 weeks. The results indicate that PFE intake reduces BMI and decreases visceral fat. In addition, the decrease in visceral fat area showed no sexual dimorphism.4
American Ginseng Root Extract is used for stress, the polysaccharides in Ginseng boost the immune system to fight colds and flu, and as a general tonic and stimulant. It contains chemicals called ginsenosides that seem to affect insulin levels in the body and lower blood sugar. American Ginseng also supports improved digestion, memory, intimate function, focus, and joint health. Do not take if you are pregnant. If you have insomnia, use with caution or very early in the day. Stop taking this product at least two weeks before surgery. 6
Telomere Support + RNA, DNA – In recombination-competent telomerase mutants, telomeric RNA-DNA hybrids promote recombination-mediated elongation events that delay the onset of cellular senescence. The regulation of TERRA transcription and telomeric RNA-DNA–hybrid formation are important determinants of both telomere-length dynamics and proliferative potential after the inactivation of telomerase.5
